How Fitness Saved Me: My Story
Where do I even begin? In a nutshell, fitness has changed my life. It saved me. It serves as the anchor of my whole entire existence (well outside of God). I come from a family who doesn't see the true value of health and who would rather wait until something detrimental happened before they take charge. I am the complete opposite, and I decided that it stopped with me.
Fitness found me at a very low point in my life, and for some time, it was the only reason I would get up. It was the only thing I was able to find stillness in during such a chaotic period. Fitness is my reason why. It has taught me that pain can be a good thing and through pain comes a stronger, better, and more resilient you. It has also taught me that adaptation is the key to success, in any aspect of life. I feel like fitness is the one thing that anyone can continuously grow in that applies both in the gym and in real life.
Through fitness, I have met so many wonderful people, and through those interactions, I was able to build DesFits, a fitness brand for women. DesFits is a pillar for women... a reminder of the inner strength and beauty that comes in many shapes, sizes, and looks. I am able to empower women through something I love. Right now, I'm working on getting my name recognized worldwide and building my social media platform.
