The Journey: From Overweight Child to Universal Empress
Movement has always been medicine for me. Even as an overweight child, I was active—swimming, playing badminton, always in motion. In my late teens, while living in New York, I fell in love with group fitness. Step aerobics at Living Well Lady sparked a lifelong passion for embodied wellness and self-care.
Over the years, my practice has expanded and deepened. I've lifted weights, danced through aerobics, practiced Pilates, and now teach yoga internationally. These days, I'm in the gym at least three times a week, on the mat five times weekly, and often begin my mornings with barefoot walks in nature—a moving meditation where breath meets rhythm and spirit meets soil.
To bridge strength and stillness, I created The BadAsana Series: Yoga with Weights. This is a Yoga Alliance certified program that merges the flexibility and flow of yoga with the stamina and structure of resistance training. Flexibility is beautiful, but strength is sovereignty. And real endurance? That comes from lifting.
