SILVIO SIMAC

London, UK

I’ve always believed that the greatest journeys in life begin with a spark of passion, and for me, that spark was martial arts. Over the past three decades, my journey has evolved into a multifaceted career as an athlete, actor, trainer, and coach. I’ve been fortunate to experience extraordinary achievements, but the heart of it all remains my dedication to martial arts and fitness.

Martial arts became a part of my life when I was young, and it quickly shaped the man I am today. The discipline, focus, and relentless pursuit of excellence it required pushed me to levels I never thought possible. Over the years, I earned the title of Taekwon-Do World Gold Medalist, became a 14-time British Champion, and achieved the honor of being a 4-time European Champion. Each title represents not just a victory but countless hours of practice, sweat, and resilience.

But my journey didn’t stop at the mat. The skills, speed, stamina, and strength I developed caught the attention of the entertainment industry. I found myself transitioning from the competitive arena to the big screen, where martial arts became an art form I could share with the world. I had the incredible opportunity to appear in productions that spanned the globe, from Hollywood to Bollywood, Canada to Hong Kong, and across Europe.

Some of my most memorable moments include starring in action-packed films like Unleashed, Dead or Alive, Undisputed 2, and Transporter 3. I’ve worked alongside legends like Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Bruce Lee’s daughter, Shannon Lee, and have collaborated with some of the most visionary directors, including Tsui Hark, Cory Yuen, and Luc Besson. These experiences pushed my creative boundaries and deepened my appreciation for the artistry of movement and storytelling.

One of the greatest honors in my career was performing for Her Majesty The Queen at the Royal Variety Performance. Standing on stage at the Dominion Theatre and showcasing the martial arts that have defined my life was a surreal and humbling experience. Similarly, bringing martial arts to the grandeur of the Royal Albert Hall and even Euro Disney allowed me to share the discipline and beauty of this sport with diverse audiences.

Beyond film and stage, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching and inspiring others. For 31 years, I’ve coached martial arts and fitness, striving to raise the profile of these disciplines through demonstrations, public appearances, and charitable work. Causes like UNICEF, Shelter, Fighting for Cancer, and numerous others have provided me the opportunity to give back and use my platform for good. Watching others grow stronger, more confident, and more capable has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career.

Fitness and martial arts have also brought me personal growth. They’ve taught me resilience, adaptability, and the power of an iron will. These lessons have guided me through challenges and enabled me to embrace new opportunities. Whether gracing the covers of publications like FHM, Combat, or The Mirror, or engaging with the public through media and events, I’ve always sought to be a credible and inspiring ambassador for martial arts.

Today, I remain deeply committed to sharing what I’ve learned. As a personal trainer, life coach, and fight choreographer, I continue to inspire others to push their limits, both physically and mentally. The journey is ongoing, and I am determined to raise the profile of martial arts and fitness while exploring new creative horizons.

Fitness and martial arts are not just about titles and accolades—they’re about transformation, empowerment, and the pursuit of greatness. My story is proof that with dedication and passion, the possibilities are endless. Whether through the lens of a camera or in the training studio, I’ll continue to carry forward the legacy of martial arts and inspire the next generation to dream big and fight hard.
