I began taking fitness seriously in 2020, during one of the lowest points in my life. At the time, I had just been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and the only solution I was offered was a prescription for antidepressants. But something in me knew I needed to try a different path—one that didn’t involve masking what I was feeling, but instead focused on healing from the inside out.
Since then, my life has transformed in ways I never could have imagined. I’ve become the strongest I’ve ever been—physically, yes, but even more so mentally. Fitness became my anchor, the daily ritual that helped me rebuild. I also discovered yoga, which quickly evolved from a curiosity into a grounding practice. I started reading voraciously, becoming intentional about what I feed not just my body, but also my mind. My social circle grew smaller, but deeper. I surrounded myself with people who uplift and support me—people who reflect the growth I’ve worked so hard to cultivate.
Professionally, everything began to shift too. I became a certified lifeguard, then a swim teacher, and eventually found myself drawn to teaching in a much broader sense. That journey led me to complete my degree and become a physical education teacher. I discovered a real passion for helping others grow and thrive through movement and health education. I also stepped into personal training and found a way to balance that with being a player-manager for a local football team. I now referee both youth and adult matches, giving back to the sport that shaped so much of my early life.
Beyond the physical, I’ve developed new interests that continue to shape who I am—namely, philosophy and psychology. Once I realized how much there was still to learn, I became deeply invested in personal development. I’ve grown to accept that life isn’t always in our control, and that realization brought peace rather than fear. Learning became a form of liberation.
One of the most impactful decisions I ever made was to start living consciously—paying attention to what I put into my body, yes, but also tuning into how I truly feel, think, and connect with the world. That awareness led me to solo travel, where I deepened my relationship with myself and the world around me. I stopped running from discomfort and started embracing it as a signal for growth.
Looking ahead, my purpose is clear. I want to help as many people as I can by teaching them what I’ve learned—offering guidance through my own experience, and showing others how to uncover the best parts of life. I want to empower people to live their own version of an authentic life—not one shaped by someone else’s expectations or timelines, but one rooted in self-awareness, self-trust, and personal truth.
Becoming fitter and healthier didn’t just change my body—it changed my life.
