BERNARD SUCHOCKI

Linder, NJ

I was a big kid my whole life. My weight was always an issue. I turned to sports and played football through college. After I graduated I decided to lose weight because I was about 300 pounds. I crash dieted and got down to 205 pounds in about one year. I was happy with the gains but that was the beginning of my yo-yo dieting story.

Over the next 10 years I would lose weight and gain it back. It was horrible to not be able to keep the weight off. I was in a vicious cycle. I was also binge drinking and using drugs during that decade. My health got so bad that I was over 350 pounds and wore 56 inch pants. I was on blood pressure medicine, had high cholesterol and prediabetic. I knew I needed a change because my life was miserable. That's when I decided to get my shit together and get back to the gym.

I started strength training consistently and doing cardio. I also stopped drinking alcohol and haven't had a drink in 5 years. I started doing a lot of research and experimenting with nutrition and training. I ate all types of diets. Low carb, high carb, low fat, high fat, high protein, vegetarian, vegan, and the list goes on and on. I finally decided to eat real food with moderation. I shop the produce and perimeter sections of the supermarket. I strength train 1-3 times per week and cardio 1-3 times per week.

I've had consistent gains and I it turned my journey in to a business. I coach warriors to improve their physical, mental, and spiritual health.
