Lafayette, CA
Hi, I'm Blaire Cocotis, a 21-year-old from the San Francisco Bay Area, California. My fitness journey began in earnest during my freshman year of high school, and since then, the gym has become an integral part of my life. For me, the gym isn't just about physical fitness—it's a sanctuary where I can manage my anxiety and find peace. Weight lifting has profoundly boosted my personal confidence, not merely because of the changes in my physique, but because of the sense of control, power, and strength it brings.
My go-to home gym is Forma in Walnut Creek, CA, but as a student at UC Davis, I make full use of their top-notch fitness center whenever I can. The gym has been a cornerstone of my routine, providing stability and a sense of accomplishment that permeates other areas of my life.
Beyond the gym, I've had some unique experiences. I've lived in the woods for three months, traveled to over ten countries, and have a penchant for horror and thriller movies. These experiences have shaped who I am and contributed to my resilience and adaptability.
Academically, I am pursuing a degree in Psychology and Sociology with the ultimate goal of earning a PsyD in Clinical Psychology. While this path involves extensive schooling, I'm passionate about using my knowledge to help others. That's why I aspire to become a certified personal trainer on the side. I want to give back to the community that has supported me and share the incredible benefits of fitness.
Everyone deserves to experience the joy and confidence that comes from completing a challenging workout. For me, the journey is as important as the destination, and I hope to inspire others to embark on their own fitness journeys. Thank you for letting me share my story!
