COLIN THOMPSON

Fort Campbell, KY

I started getting into fitness when I was about 14-15 years old and I have never looked back. I’m currently active duty military going on 10 years now.

Fitness is a huge part of my profession and my daily routine in life since growing up playing sports and at the collegiate level, which was ice hockey and lacrosse. As an infantryman, we always have to be ready, both physically and mentally, in order to close with and destroy our nations enemies when called upon.

I take great pride in my physical fitness in order to perform at the highest level possible and want to set the example for others to follow and encourage them to emulate myself.
I achieved a perfect score of a 600 on the ACFT and strive to be the best in everything I do. The physical fitness is completely different from the old APFT and assesses a Soldier’s overall physical readiness level. Thought a lot easier to pass, you must put the work in when no one is watching to get to that 600 level score. I am also an Army Master Fitness Trainer as the subject matter expert to program and facilitate PT programs within my unit.

Lastly, I have been studying for the last several months and recently got certified as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator through the NSCA. Looking to optimize my performance level even more and as well as my Soldiers and other people around me. Anything else you want to know just follow me on IG.
