From tennis court sprints to the relentless CrossFit box, my fitness journey has been a testament to resilience and determination. It all began in high school with tennis and daily runs, eventually evolving into competitive 3k and 5k races in college. By the time I turned 35, I decided to embrace the world of weightlifting, determined not to succumb to the 'flabby forty' stereotype. My commitment led me to the gym six days a week, and with the guidance of an expert personal trainer, I got into the best shape of my life.

However, an unfortunate car accident resulted in a broken foot, derailing my progress for about 18 months. The recovery period was incredibly challenging, and my fitness journey took a backseat. The pandemic compounded my struggles, causing me to gain 33 pounds—the highest weight I had ever been. Despite these setbacks, my willpower led me to a CrossFit gym. Initially, the movements felt unnatural, and I felt completely out of place. But I decided to push through, challenging not only my physical capabilities but my mental barriers as well.

Fast forward to now, after changing gyms and losing 30 pounds over the last two years, I’ve finally found my sweet spot in CrossFit. What once intimidated me has now become my sanctuary. The feeling of running with ease again is indescribable! I firmly believe that consistent exercise from a young age can significantly reduce the risk of ambulatory disabilities in the elderly. It's never too late to start.

My fitness journey has transformed not only my body but also my mind. It has been my stress reliever, helping me navigate through career transitions—from practicing law to becoming a transformational life, love, inner healing, and relationship coach, as well as an ordained minister. As I look ahead, my ambition is to keep expanding my ministry and coaching enterprise. My curiosity propels me towards new horizons—international exploration, personal development, the world of art, and the pursuit of knowledge through reading. This is the journey I am excited to undertake!

Smashing through walls and obliterating self-imposed boundaries, I’ve discovered that our biggest limitations are often those we set on ourselves. Yet, through the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to transform our mindsets, remove these limitations, and usher in profound change. If I can transcend my restrictions, so can you!

As I look to the future, I envision a fitter, stronger me, with CrossFit at the heart of my routine, and my amazing dog, Taner, joining me on our daily 3-5 mile walks. Here’s to celebrating health, strength, and resilience!
