My fitness journey began eight years ago. I was very athletic in high school, participating in many activities, but during my first year of college, I gained an easy 40 pounds. The sports I once loved seemed impossible to do. Determined to make a change, I started going to the gym with a friend during my second year of college and began paying close attention to my nutrition. As a student, I didn’t have the funds for a coach, so I taught myself everything. Through sheer determination and self-discipline, I lost a total of 80 pounds, a transformation that changed my life. I could once again play all the sports I loved with ease.

A friend suggested that I look into bodybuilding. At the time, I had no idea what it entailed, but my competitive nature in other sports made me think, why not? In the summer of 2021, while waiting to graduate in dental hygiene (postponed due to COVID), I decided to get certified as a trainer and nutrition coach. That same year, I met my coach.

Together, we set a goal for me to compete in my first show in Kelowna at the WNBF show in October 2021. I got 2nd place in that show, and a month later, we went to the Vancouver Leigh Brandt Muscle Classic in November 2021, where I took first place! After my first year of competing, I was hooked.

The following year, we did two shows back to back at the Vancity Showdown, where I placed 2nd and 5th. The week after that, we went to Nationals in Toronto, where I placed 2nd in my first national show as a natural athlete. We then returned to Vancouver a month later, incorporating the feedback we received, and ended my season on a high note by taking the overall title at the Fall Classic in November 2022.

In October 2023, we went back to Toronto for Nationals, where I placed 3rd. This solidified my belief that I am meant to be up there on stage. This season, I took time off from the stage to improve the package I will bring in 2025.

Fitness has completely transformed my life. If I had never found the gym, I truly don't know what kind of life I would be living now. My goal is to help and inspire others to start their own health and fitness journeys. I want to show people that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. My personal goal is to obtain my pro card before I turn 30.
