KEITH STALNAKER

My fitness journey began in middle school when I joined the weightlifting program. From the first time I felt the surge of strength coursing through my muscles, I was hooked. At the time, I was tall and had a skinny, athletic build. However, the transformative power of weightlifting fascinated me. This passion carried me through high school, the military, and now into my pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Lionel University. Along the way, I became certified as a personal trainer through ISSA.

My workouts are tailored to my unique lifestyle as a truck driver who is home weekly. During the week, I rely on two dumbbells and a resistance band to stay fit. For heavy days, I use the heavier dumbbell and vice versa for lighter days. I also incorporate bodyweight movements and stretching throughout the week to maintain flexibility and strength. Weekends are when I hit the weights hard, either at the gym or in my home setup. This routine keeps me in top shape and ready for the challenges of both my profession and personal life.

Embracing the fit lifestyle has opened many doors for me. It has become a crucial outlet for channeling negativity, whether it's from anxiety, PTSD, or other stressors. In the world of fitness, growth is constant and never-ending. There is always something new to learn and countless variations to explore from what you already know. The fitness world is ever-evolving, and that’s what makes it so exciting and rewarding.

I've drawn inspiration from some of the greats in bodybuilding. The legendary Ronnie Coleman, with his uplifting attitude towards the sport, has always been a source of motivation for me. Similarly, C.T. Fletcher's sheer determination and mindset that the weight will be moved no matter what resonates deeply with my own approach to fitness.

Looking ahead, I am excited about continuing my fitness journey for many years to come. I envision myself as a senior citizen, still deeply involved in fitness, inspiring others to pursue their health and strength goals. Fitness is not just a phase or a hobby for me; it's a lifelong commitment and a source of immense joy and fulfillment.
