I'm late to the party on the fitness front having had a reality check due to the sudden death of my Dad (only 55 at the time) caused by a heart attack. A friend ran a local CrossFit gym and had been on at me to try it out but with dodgy knees, a bad back and teetering at just over 16 stone, I just couldn't face it!
It took me at least 3 years to walk through those doors and I've never looked back. I've lost 4.5 stone, massively improved my mental health and of course, my fitness and overall body shape
I then decided it made total sense to try and help others be brave and achieve their goals like me. Initially I did my Crossfit level 1 certificate just for myself to gain an insight but I have since gone on to coach regularly. My NVQ Level 3 PT was then the next step. This led onto working in a local gym delivering hiit type group training. I have since set up my own PT business 'mind & muscle ' and continue to coach in that same CrossFit gym where I started. So here I am, finding my feet and absolutely loving the buzz of helping others start their journey. I want to be that person who makes the nervous, scared and unfit people feel welcome and ready to be the best version of themselves. I've been there and been scared but if I can do it, anyone can!
