MATT PATTERSON

Terre Haute, IN

After getting off of active duty from the Marine Corps and returning to college. I was bit by a mosquito and got the West Nile Virus from it. Mosquito's are transmitters of the virus.

The virus ended up causing significant damage to by body and put me in the hospital.

Because of how little is still known about the virus, they weren't sure if I'd pull through.

After being released from the hospital, I had to go through physical therapy just to gain any strength back. I completed 3 months and was able to get some strength back from it.

Unfortunately, it was not enough. It was still the weakest I had ever felt in my life.

So I started working out, learning about the anatomy and physiology of the body. I wanted to be as strong as possible and never feel that weak again.

I began learning about proper nutrition and eating right and the effects of certain foods.

With all this, I became a trainer. My mission is to help as many people as possible to stay healthy and achieve as much of there potential as possible and teach them how to progress.

I love helping others succeed and grow. It is awesome to see someone pursue where they thought they could not.

We need to continue to lead by example and help those around to achieve there goals.

So much potential to help others and spread that positivity that many will succeed. This is why I love what I do.
