NATALIE LEAL

Prescott Valley, AZ

I started working out when I was 18 years old. When I was 23, I knew I wanted to help people and began my career in law enforcement. In May of 2021, I was involved in an altercation at work that changed my life forever. I was in constant pain and required multiple medications daily just to function. I couldn't train or work out for over a year. I was depressed, unhappy and had gained close to 30 lbs. In March of 2022, I had two discs replaced in my neck. I was also diagnosed with tendonitis in my right shoulder and carpal tunnel in my right arm. In July of 2022, I was cleared to start working out and began my recovery. It has not been easy but I was determined to get my life and health back. There are several things I can no longer do because of the neck surgery and I have had to change my whole way of training because of it. I believe age is just a number and that you should invest in yourself because you are worth it. It has been 9 months and I am down 30 lbs and close to being in the best shape of my life at 50 yrs old. People ask how old I am and they are always shocked when I tell them my age. I ultimately had to retire after a 27 year career and now I look forward to helping and inspiring others to being the best they can be.
