Throughout almost my entire life, I've been active, participating in high school sports and maintaining general fitness. However, there was always a level of limitation due to an early diagnosis of hip dysplasia as a child. In 2015, at the age of 27, I underwent a total hip replacement. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I viewed it as a second chance to make even better changes for myself in terms of overall strength and body composition.

Following my surgery, I dedicated myself to post-surgery rehab and started incorporating compound movements to increase my overall strength. It was during this time that I discovered powerlifting and became intrigued by the potential it held for my fitness journey. In 2020, I competed in my first-ever powerlifting meet, and since then, I haven't looked back. At this point in my life, I've achieved a 545lb Squat, a 430lb Bench, and a 600lb Deadlift in Competition. I've competed in over 12 powerlifting meets locally and nationally, and have even set local and national records in Bench and Deadlift in various federations.

Fitness has not only positively impacted my life but has also opened doors for me to coach others. In 2018, I earned my first personal training certification with the American Council of Fitness. Since then, I've gained certifications in Functional Movement Screening and USPA Powerlifting. I've coached numerous individuals through powerlifting events as well as strongman/strongwoman events. Additionally, I've volunteered as a Powerlifting Referee to give back to the sport that has given me so much.

Currently, I'm focused on building my own business in coaching and apparel called Strongmates Athletics. I look forward to working with others to help them become stronger, whether it's on a powerlifting platform or in general fitness pursuits.
