SCOTT ROBERTS

Warwick, Bermuda

Throughout most of my childhood into my mid 20's I was overweight and for a large portion of that obese.
About 7 years ago I weighed about 260 lbs (118 kg) and it was at this time I decided something needed to change. I was already married so I made the change strictly for myself.
I start walking everyday and just like magic I started to see the weight start to melt off of me. I mixed that in with a healthier eating habit and boom! More weight gone.
This kind of became an obsession that lead to a not so healthy mentality regarding weight lose and body imagine. I dipped down to 140 lbs (63.5 kg) I did not look healthy at all.
Since then until now I have made small adjustments in my mentality that has lead me to a more stable and healthy view of fitness.
I began to train with a different purpose. I started to train to be healthy. Yes I sit around 175 lbs (79 kg) but I am happier and much stronger.

I am a 14 years police veteran and through the first half of this was overweight and obese. About 4 to 5 years ago I decided to challenge myself with becoming a top their firearms officer. This requires the highest level of fitness of any officer within my service. With my goals set I trained hard for this chance and aced it!
I now focus more on weight training and Hiit as appose to strict Cardio and crossfit style WODs.

I am allowing myself to see how far I have come and enjoy helping others with their journey into fitness!

It is never too late to make a change for a better life both physically and mentally. It all starts with setting a goal.
