Fitness has always been part of my life, woven into my earliest memories. As a kid, I was immersed in sports—hockey, baseball, lacrosse—you name it, I played it. But beneath the practices and games, there was always a deeper drive pushing me forward: the desire to get faster, stronger, and just feel better in my own skin. I was self-conscious about my body growing up, constantly doubting myself and my weight. Although I was never technically obese or overweight, I always felt like I was the "bigger" one compared to everyone around me.

By the time I was 15, I’d had enough. I wanted to put on muscle and take control of how I felt about my body. I was tired of the self-doubt and ready to make a change. Little did I know that this decision would spark a lifelong obsession that would shape every aspect of who I am.

I started simple, with push-ups and sit-ups on my bedroom floor. I still laugh thinking back to the puzzled looks my parents gave me when they’d walk in to find me sweaty and shirtless on the carpet. To them, it was a bit odd, but I could’ve been doing far worse things as a teenage boy! They’d chuckle, ask what I was up to, and I’d tell them I was working out. And that was the beginning.

When I turned 16, things really kicked into high gear. I got my first gym membership, and I was hooked from day one. By that time, I’d already been crafting my own makeshift workout programs in my bedroom, experimenting with different rep schemes and sets. So, when I walked into the gym, I hit the ground running. I began packing on muscle, and with every ounce of progress, I fell deeper in love with the process of fitness. My progress became unstoppable.

I started refining my diet, cutting out soda and junk foods and focusing on how to properly fuel my body. I wasn’t one to track calories or macros meticulously. Instead, I approached food with a simple mindset: if I indulged in pizza on Monday, I’d wait at least a week before having it again. Over time, I stopped craving carbs and unnecessary sugars, transforming my body into a muscle-building, fat-burning machine. After school, I’d walk to the gym, ready to hit whatever muscle group wasn’t sore from the day before. This routine was my life for four years throughout high school. Fitness had become my addiction, and it was the best kind.

As I grew older and more experienced in the gym, my perspective on fitness evolved. I started to shift away from a strict bodybuilding mindset and began embracing a more holistic approach to health and wellness. I added cardio, yoga, sauna sessions, deep stretching, cold plunges, HIIT, calisthenics, and functional fitness into my workouts. My fitness routine wasn’t just about building muscle anymore; it was about creating a balanced, flexible, and resilient body.

Now, I’m in the best shape of my life, and I have no intention of slowing down. Fitness has given me confidence, strength, and the drive to keep pushing my limits. I hope my journey can inspire others to take that first step and start their own fitness path. No matter where you begin, the transformation is worth it. And trust me—it’s a journey you’ll never want to end.
