VICKI BLICKENSDERFER

Sacramento, CA

Growing up, I was always overweight. I was bullied a lot in school and in high school I ended up developing severe anorexia. I would eat once every 3 days and run for 2 hours every day. I lost a lot of weight but I was extremely unhealthy, and still unhappy. I had deep rooted self esteem issues and began practicing self harm and even considered suicide. My weight fluctuated over the years, going back and forth between stages of binge eating and anorexia. Due to my lack of self worth, I craved validation from many toxic partners. Finally, I'd had enough and knew I needed a fresh start somewhere, so I moved from where I grew up on the East Coast of the US out to California with my sister. Here, I met some of the most amazing and inspiring people in my life. I met my Coach, the strongest woman I know. And I met the love of my life, who makes it a goal every single day to make sure that I know my worth. I decided that I was finally going to take control of my health and my weight, and this time I was going to do it right. With my partner supporting and joining me, I lost 50 Lbs over the course of a year and became so much healthier. Then last year, I decided to take my journey to the next level and train to compete in a physique competition, where I won first place in the Fitness Angel division and became a pro athlete. Now it is my goal to inspire others, especially women, to let them know that no matter where they're at, they CAN do this. And even more importantly, they are worth it! You are worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears that it takes.
