"My fitness journey started in 2017 but for the first few years I only focused on nutrition. I went from 240lbs down to 165. Then I started weightlifting June 2020 and it changed my life. It helped my physical and mental health tremendously. I always struggled with confidence and I had always been the “chubby” girl growing up. Once I had the mindset switch from “dieting” to a lifestyle change everything changed. I realized there’s more to this journey than just looking good. My main focus is feeling good. When I workout and stay consistent with my nutrition I feel incredible. The best version of myself comes out when I take care of myself. As a human being you have to learn that your body was created to be treated with love an kindness. There are steps you have to take to be able to live your human existence the way it is meant to be to be lived. Taking care of your body should be one of your highest priorities. This journey can feel hard but it’s so worth it. What I always tell everyone is consistency is way more important than perfection. Find what works for you and then do it for the rest of your life. Health is wealth and the only way you can truly know what it means to be happy and feel good is to start taking cause of yourself. I spent a lot of time focused on the wrong aspects of this journey but when I started focusing on how my body felt rather than just how it looks I noticed such am improvement in my motivation. I will never go back to the life I used to live. My fitness goals are to be healthy and live a life full of fulfillment."
