"I grew up playing sports my entire life and when I started “working out“ it was more for aesthetics than anything else. I started CrossFit in 2010 and my motivation changed to be more performance-based and an athletic physique has been a bonus! This year I will be competing in my eighth CrossFit games hoping to win the title of the shittiest man on earth. I was the closest in 2019 when it finished second place in the world. When I first started the sport I had no strength training background so I had to learn all of the Olympic lifts and build my strength base to be competitive with the rest of the field. I may not be the strongest guy in our sport but my numbers are definitely up there now! What I love about fitness is that you can always improve! There are new skills to learn new weights to be able to lift new goals to be achieved and there is literally never an end to any of that. No matter how good you get you can always get better. I also love to utilize my platform to inspire and encourage other people to become the best version of themselves. I truly believe that even when I am done competing I will still continue to train for the rest of my life! I’m chasing my dream of winning the CrossFit Games and hopefully this is the year I make it happen. Fitness keeps me healthy, happy and hungry!"
