Anorexia controlled my life for the past 10 years. Only when I found my love for fitness did I get that control back. Finally seeing the numbers go up on the scale is a good thing for me. At 22 years old, I’m now a healthy weight for the first time since I was 11. Since I used to be a gymnast, I’ve always had a passion for and felt the benefits of exercise, but dance-based HIIT is what I really love. In the middle of last year I took up weight-training as well, and now I’m on my way to not only being satisfied with my body, but also feeling strong.

I also have exercise to thank for easing my depression and anxiety, which I've suffered with since I can remember. Now when I'm having a bad day, I do a home workout. I recommend working out to anyone suffering with mental health issues.

In the future my dream is to inspire others to find their love for exercise - there are many types of exercise and I believe that everyone suits at least one of these, you just have to find what works for you! Ideally I'll become a personal trainer, one that knows their way around a healthy nutrition plan, and how to benefit your mental health. I studied mental health and psychology for 4 years, so I'd love to incorporate my psychology knowledge into my fitness knowledge to teach and help people to do the best they can with their bodies.
