"I started my fitness journey in 2006 after my son was born. At the time I had a one year old and took him with me daily to the gym. After my second child was born in 2009 I really started to focus. I started taking a Zumba and spin class. I found that having a group of people helped me stay motivated and kept me coming back. I stumbled across Beachbody and bought my first program. Turbo Fire and it changed my life. I got certified to teach in my local gyms and continued to add certifications. I wanted others to feel that sense of belonging that group fitness gave me. As a new mom it was so important to have a support system. I also fell in love with running and in 2013 completed my first full marathon. I found Crossfit and another passion was born. Since the pandemic and gyms closing in my area I was unable to teach but I still wanted to encourage others not to give up. I went back to my Beachbody roots and I have completed 6 programs over the past 8 months. I have done 3 cycling challenges on my Peloton and have started to focus on my running again. Fitness is in my blood. It's a huge part of who I am. I am grateful to all the friends I have made a long the way. My story doesn't end here. I am working toward another marathon in March.
